New look: Inside the Surety Hotel going into the historic Midland Building in downtown Des Moines

Aparium Hotel Group started its $40 million historic renovation in January. The 12-story building will be a revival of an "architectural gem" built in 1913 for The Iowa Loan & Trust Company, according to the release.
